Are your scarves hand-painted?
Yes! Each scarf is individually hand-painted by Tamara using professional silk dyes, then steamed for over 4 hours to fix the colours. Every piece is unique, no two scarves are ever exactly the same.
What type of silk do you use?
All scarves are made from 100% pure silk, chosen for its natural shine, lightness, and beautiful drape.
I use two types of silk: Habotai 8 and
Pongee 5.
Here’s a simple explanation of the difference between them:
Pongee 5: Light and very thin, with a soft, airy feel. It’s quite transparent and delicate, so it requires gentle handling.
Habotai 8 (also known as Pongee 9):
A medium-weight silk that’s smoother, denser, and more luxurious. It’s more durable and long-lasting, with a lovely natural sheen that makes it ideal for scarves.
How do I care for my silk scarf?
Gently hand wash in cool water with a drop of mild soap or baby shampoo. Rinse carefully, roll in a towel to remove excess water, and iron on the reverse side while still slightly damp, using a low heat setting for silk.
Will the colours fade over time?
No. The dyes are steam-fixed to make them permanent. With gentle care, your scarf will stay vibrant for many years.

Do you include the Bible verse on the scarf?
Some scarves are designed with a Bible verse or a short passage from the Old or New Testament.
Can I request a custom design or verse?
Yes! You’re welcome to request a personalised colour palette, verse, or message. Each custom piece is designed and painted just for you.
Can I give a Christian silk scarf as a gift?
Absolutely. Each scarf makes a meaningful, faith-filled gift, perfect for birthdays, baptisms, confirmations, or as a comforting reminder of God’s love.
Can I return a customised scarf?
Each customised scarf is made especially for you.
Customisation includes changes to background colour, added flowers, or any design adjustments requested.
For this reason, customised scarves are non-refundable, unless there is a fault.

What’s included in the kit?
Each kit contains everything you need to paint on silk, a pre-outlined silk design, silk paints, brush, mixing palette, instructions and easy step‑by‑step video tutorial.
How are the scarves made?
The scarf is pre-outlined with permanent gutta, which means the design is already drawn and ready to paint.
Do I need any additional materials?
No, everything you need is included in the full kit. You only need a small cup of water and a tissue or paper towel.
Is the kit suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. The kits are designed with beginners in mind and are perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing, creative experience.
Can children use the kit?
The kits are suitable for adults and older children under supervision, as they involve silk paints and fine brushwork.
How long does it take to complete a design?
Most designs can be completed in a few hours, making them ideal for a peaceful afternoon or weekend project.
Do I need to buy a frame to stretch the silk?
It’s not essential, but it can make painting easier if you have one.
- For the scarf kit, polyester wadding is included, so you don’t need a frame. The silk can be gently pinned onto the wadding to keep it in place while you paint.
- For other kits (like the stocking and 2026 calendar), each outlined silk panel comes pre-ironed on freezer paper to keep it flat and stable, so there’s no need for a frame.
Which paint colours are included in the kits?
The paints included match the colours shown in your kit design. If you prefer to receive only primary colours so you can mix your own shades, please let me know when ordering.

Is there a tutorial video included?
